Food in Thailand

Post by Gullible » Fri Feb 16, 2018 12:34 pm

Food in Thailand is superb and very cheap (though not as cheap as it used to be. You can still feast like a king for around £10 a day.
At the airport theres a food hall missed by so many where you can get froed rice, chicken and chopped veg for around 90P it WILL fill you up.
My recommendations for newbies in Bangkok would be the food halls in the large shopping centers like Mah Boon Krong or the food hall in terminal 21 on Sukhumvit Rd. Go to the money counter and give them 100Baht. they will give you a docket. then walk around and select the food you want and hand them the docket, they will mark it and give it back. When youve finished go back to the Money counter give them the docket and they will give you back your change !!

The Thai dictators did the food industry a disservice when they pulled so many street food stalls.
Really good fresh food cooked in front of you and amazingly cheap. The only case of food poisoning I had was in a hotel after eating their food.
